Regional Center Program for EB-5 Visas

The EB-5 Process

EB-5 Designated Regional Centers

Every year, the United States offers 3,000 EB-5 investment visas to foreign nationals who are able to invest a large sum in a new commercial enterprise. These investments are viewed as vital to the United States' economy as they create jobs and stimulate economic growth.

Helping You Through a Complex Process

In order for United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) to consider an alien investor for investment based immigration, the investor must file an I-526 petition and be prepared to:

  • Invest at least $1 million in a new enterprise or $500,000 if the new commercial enterprise will be located in an area that has been identified as having particularly high unemployment (a regional center)
  • Create at least ten new jobs through the investment

An EB-5 investor visa can mean eventual permanent residency for you and your family. Call or e-mail the experienced immigration lawyers at Kanu & Associates, P.C. to learn more about investment based immigration.

What is a Regional Center?

A regional center is an entity, organization or agency that has been approved by the USCIS. It must focus on a specific area in the U.S. and promote economic growth through increased export sales and domestic capital investment, job creation, and improved regional productivity.
