The Greater Phoenix Area is at the forefront of Arizona’s rapidly expanding economy. This is one of the reasons it is widely seen as one of the most desirable places to live in America. If you are a foreign national seeking to participate in our region’s growth by investing in a new commercial enterprise, creating jobs and investing capital, you can seek an EB5 investment-based visa, and our Phoenix immigration attorney can help you get there.
Kanu & Associates, P.C., will help you to determine if you qualify for one of the 140,000 investment-based, or EB5, visas made available in the U.S. each year. This visa – also called an immigrant investor visa or immigrant entrepreneur visa – will allow you to obtain permanent resident status in Arizona or elsewhere in the U.S.
Wealthy foreign nationals who wish to come to the U.S. can do so by obtaining an EB5 investor visa and making a significant investment in a U.S.-based business. United States Citizenship and Immigration Services approves visas based on proposals for investment and economic stimulation. The EB5 program was first approved by Congress in 1990, and was designed to encourage wealthy foreign nationals to invest in new commercial enterprises.
The program has been reauthorized every year since its initial approval. To qualify for the EB5 program, investors must be willing to invest anywhere from $500,000 to $1 million, depending on which region they're investing in. Investors must also create at least 10 new full-time jobs or preserve jobs for a troubled enterprise. Only 10,000 people may apply for an EB5 visa every year. Though this number may seem low, there's still a good chance you could be approved; the limit has not been maxed out in several years.
The EB5 program is an excellent program that benefits all those involved.
At Kanu & Associates, P.C., we have gone through the EB5 investment-based visa process numerous times. We know how to complete the required paperwork and compile all supporting documentation that immigrant investors need to become lawful permanent residents of Phoenix or elsewhere in Arizona and the U.S. Our experience includes working with immigrant entrepreneurs who become involved with EB5 regional centers.
Our Phoenix immigration lawyer looks forward to the opportunity to explain the immigration process in more detail, explore your options and map out a strategy that will set you on a path to reaching your goals of living in the U.S. while investing in our country’s future.
